Why I Write: A Journey of Faith, Miracles, and Purpose

From the moment I put pen to paper, I knew my writing wasn’t just for me—it was a calling. In 2014, I completed my first book, a labor of love born from deep faith and countless blessings. Since then, God has continued to show up in my life in extraordinary ways, and I feel compelled to share those stories.

Writing has become more than a creative outlet; it’s a ministry. Whether I’m reading devotionals by Rick Warren or diving into prophetic insights from authors like Joseph Z, I’m constantly reminded that words have the power to heal, guide, and uplift.

This blog is my new beginning—a space where I’ll share reflections, testimonies, and the behind-the-scenes of my next book project. I’ll write about the miracles I’ve witnessed, the encouragement I’ve received from my church community, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

If you’ve ever felt called to write, or if you’re simply seeking inspiration, I hope this space becomes a source of light for you.

Let’s walk this journey together.

  1. Delia, thank you for sharing your heartfelt journey. Your openness about experiencing miracles and finding purpose through faith is truly inspiring. It’s powerful to see how writing has become such a crucial part of that journey for you.‍

    1. A Note to My Readers
I know it has been a very long time since I’ve written anything here, and I want to explain why.
When I published my book, I was excited and hopeful. I believed I had found someone who would help me get my book out into the world and give it the attention and support it deserved. Unfortunately, things did not turn out that way.
I became increasingly disappointed and frustrated by promises that were made to me but never fulfilled. Instead of feeling supported as an author, I felt discouraged and, at times, completely overwhelmed. Eventually, I made the difficult decision to end that relationship and move on.
By that point, I had spent far more money than I ever expected, with very little to show for it. Only a small number of books were sold, and the whole experience left me so discouraged that I honestly didn’t want to think about writing, publishing, or promoting my book anymore.
      So I stepped away.
I realize now, though, that stepping away also meant stepping away from the people who may have wanted to hear from me—and for that, I am sorry.
Recently, I’ve begun receiving some feedback and messages through my website, and it reminded me that there are still people interested in my work. That means more to me than you may realize.
I’m not going to pretend that the experience of publishing my book didn’t hurt or that I’m not still disappointed about how things turned out. But I also don’t want a bad experience with one person or one chapter of my journey to be the end of my story.
      So I’m here again.
Thank you to those of you who have reached out, visited my website, read my book, or simply wondered where I’ve been. Your interest and encouragement have given me a reason to start opening this door again.
I hope you’ll stay with me as I find my way back to writing and sharing.
      With gratitude,
      Delia Hayward
